More About Miss Jill Tracey...
DELIGHTFULLY ENGAGING, FUNNY AND SMART
Perfectly describes Jill Tracey. For over a decade, she ruled Miami radio as the gossip diva and recently shared the trials and triumphs of her life on the final season of the NBC Emmy award winning reality show, Starting Over. "What an interesting turn of events, Jill says. I spent the first part of my career telling other people's business and the key to improving my life has been to tell my own."
A native of Detroit, Michigan, Jill relocated to South Florida for college and her career blossomed in several areas of entertainment, from writing to radio and television. From her early years as a South Beach columnist to becoming one of radio's most outspoken personalties, Jill's combination of witty content and entertaining style have proved a winning combination and earned her the title of South Florida’s Favorite Radio Personality.
Always looking for a new adventure, and a great black dress, Jill opened her own custom design clothing business in 2000. The Jill Tracey Collection found its way to several plus size boutiques in the United States until the closing of the business in 2004. "As happens in life, the valley proved to be rougher that I anticipated. At the top of my game I lost my job, lost my business and lost my way. But like Stella, I got my groove back and the opportunity to start all over again!"
While Jill lived in Los Angeles, she hosted Jazz and Blues with Jill Tracey on the country's #1 straight-ahead Jazz station, K-Jazz, 88.1 fm. "Jazz is like wine. Lots of people love it, but don't feel equipped to discuss it intelligently. It's the same with our differences. It's easier to highlight them than deal with the truth that we're all really the same. In telling my story on national TV, I reached across that divide and found love and support. I am using my life to pay that experience forward by helping women everywhere achieve their goals."
Today, Jill resides in the Atlanta area and has returned to her love of fashion working as a sales rep for some of the country's best women's apparel and accessory lines. "We are so much more powerful when we work together. It makes my heart sing to see my clients succeed and if I can help in any way, That is the Blessing!"
